About KEHA

The Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association (KEHA) is a volunteer organization that works to improve the quality of life for families and communities through leadership development, volunteer service, and education. The organization was developed in cooperation with the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. Across the state, County Extension Agents for Family and Consumer Sciences work closely with KEHA members and clubs to provide educational programming and coordinate community activities.

Volunteer Schedule

Monday, Aug. 25 | Item Entry Day: volunteer will receive and record items in designated category, place tags on items, and organize items for judging. Please indicate if you are available for the whole shift (12:00pm – 7pm) or only part of the shift (please indicate times you are available).

Tuesday, Aug. 26 | Item Judging Day: volunteers will assist judges, record placings, place ribbons, display items, and complete winner certificates for designated category. Duties may be completed by lunch depending on the number of entries, so you may be done with your responsibilities well before 4pm.

Tuesday - Thursday, Aug. 26-30 | Building Sitters: Volunteers will sit in the building and keep watch over items ensuring that no one removes items before check-out day. Locks building before leaving for the evening.

Sunday, Aug. 31 | Item Check Out Day: volunteers will gather items from all categories and assist in checking them out to the owner of the items.

July Community Connection

Grayson County Extension Homemakers will be collecting school supplies through the month of July. Donations will go to local schools in the fall needing the extra supplies! 

Items may be dropped off during business hours at the GC Extension Office in the front foyer. Donations will only be accepted between July 1 and July 31.
